Gurugram Cyber Fraud Ring Busted: Six Arrested for Rs 6.69 Crore Job Scam

Six individuals have recently been apprehended on charges of orchestrating a cyber fraud scheme amounting to Rs 6.69 crore under the guise of offering employment opportunities in Gurugram.

The suspects, namely Lokesh Kumar, Aditya Srivastava, Hemant Kumar, Mohamed Anis,  Deepak, Ershad, and Aakash Parmar have been taken into custody. Authorities seized eight mobile phones and an equal number of SIM cards from their possession.

Out of the 108 cases filed against the group nationwide, six were specifically registered in Haryana, according to law enforcement.

Upon scrutinizing the data retrieved from the suspects’ mobile phones and SIM cards, it was established that they played a pivotal role in the Rs 6.69 crore cyber fraud, as confirmed by the police.

In the course of the investigation, the accused individuals disclosed that their modus operandi involved deceiving individuals by promising them job opportunities, targeting not only job seekers but also users on platforms such as OLX.
